Jim, if you know of a camera store in Buffalo, sure, that's a possibility. But I'm not sure they do have good stores with low prices in Buffalo. We won't be staying long in the US, as our layover in Newark is just a few hours to pick up our luggage, move it to one terminal to another than check it in for the last leg of the flight. By the time we've arrived at my in-laws we've been traveling for 19 hours.

Thanks Sarah! :D

Make sure to pick up some clothing in Buffalo. Walden Galleria Mall is what you want :D. My family goes there once and a while, and you can pick up some amazing deals.

If I was travelling that far I might just be willing to take the trip down to New York to get some stuff brom BH. You can take a bus from Toronto, about 8 hours or so. Just because I'de be saving a significant amount compared to buying it in Toronto and because you'de get to see New York City if you haven't before (New York is like a place I think everyone has to go once.)

Well, to be honest, I am not the healthiest person in the world, and the 19 hour trip is going to be really tough on me as it is. Driving up to Toronto (2 hrs) then another 8 hours to go to NYC and then back, stay at a hotel cuz it's way too much in one day, that's waaaaaaay to much time spending on getting a good deal on a lens. If we calculate on prices, the difference I'd save on doing that 20 hour drive to NYC with hotel, is not more than some Wendy's. It's just not worth the hazzle.

And no, I don't feel the urge to see NYC anytime soon. Honestly, I prefer Canada. (Why else would I marry a Canuck?) :D

Hehe, NYC is one hell of a place, it's the jungle essentially.

I was reading the other thread with you and Claire and saw the link to the website discussing your illness. It is a shame indeed :(.
