I ordered a Bigma, tripod, ballhead, and new backpack to carry everything with a scheduled delivery for tomorrow. Now UPS has rescheduled the delivery till Friday. Has that happened to you guys before? I thought I was gonna go nuts waiting till tomorrow. Now I have to wait two more days! And Friday we are scheduled to get rain/ snow.:(

Oh man that does suck.
I had my 30D and Sigma lens coming overnight air and since I was tracking the thing I saw that sometime in the middle of the night the plane had engine trouble and was sitting somewhere in Ohio or something. It made it here about noon the following day. The only good thing to come of it was that since UPS messed up I was refunded the full shipping amount and that then paid for my 50mm f/1.8, so in the end I got an ever better deal but my jaw dropped when it showed that it was being rescheduled for delivery the next day.

That happens to me most often with UPS. I have had much better luck with Fed Ex. I think alot of it depends on how good your local people are at the shipper.

FedEx has never screwed up on me. When they say it will be there the next day it is, never fail. I hate UPS. I've had them screw up 3 of my last 3 deliveries. My last 2 FedEx deliveries were like clockwork.

UPS sucks for geting anything delivered on time here, especially if it has to cross the boarder. At least FedEX will get most shipments thru on time.

Have fun with the Bigma :-)

Leave a note on the door something like:

"Dear UPS,

I authorize you to leave one (1) package from ________, tracking number ________. Please leave the package at ________.

__signed name__
__printed name__
______date_____"

I do this all the time, never had a problem.

When it's UPS I actually prefer that if they can't deliver it, once I see it going back to the center, I call and ask them to hold it and not send it out the next day. Sometimes I can get it that evening and otherwise the following morning.

Be glad that UPS delivers to where you are and that an online company will deliver to you.

I have a total **** of a time ordering stuff. But the UPs lady likes me and I don't pay much duty now.

The only brown trucks on this island are well... brown.

people will always try to stop you doing the right thing if it is unconventional
