I just bought a 20D and this is the first shot I took with it of my son's black eye that he got the other day. C&C PLEASE! I have no photography training other than just trial and error- so I am trying to improve my skills!
THANKS!

I might have tried to lose the black area down to the left tho'. It doesn't contribute. If you have some more face maybe bring that in from the right, but if that is the total frame you shot then you can't really do anything. Keep it up. I like it. https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1203740

I didn't crop the image any- so that is all I have to work with. Would it have been better if I had more of the face in the image then? CANON 20D

You caught the important stuff that gives the shot some impact and anything else is just minor 'composition perfectionism' in that context. You could try and lose some bottom left and some tshirt at the bottom and see the results, but at the end of the day it is your 'eye' and you should present the shot as you like it. https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1203740

I am so use to shooting with smaller MP, so I always tried to not have to crop the image so I wouldn't loose any quality. I guess I have a little more to play around with the new camera, huh?
