I love the contrast between the gray sky and the colors of the boat. A great exposure.

The net on the red boat grabs my attention. Perhaps a bit of a dodge on it would give it more focus.

I am not a boat fan or a harbor shot fan. I really like this shot. Great contrast with the sky, gret flat water for the reflection and I also like the red boat in between the two blue ones.

2 Samuel 9:7-8, "So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.” Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

Yes I do. Good shot.
How long did it take you to decide on the crop. Must have been a difficult decision.

Very nice, great sky. Taken down the far end of the quay, opposite the Thistle Hotel I assume?

I know the location well but every time I've been down there, the sky is just grey :-(

Excellent shot with very nice composition and exposure. I'd be interested to know what the Exif was

Hi Andy;

That really is quite an ethereal shot...

It almost looks as if you've done a B&W conversion, and then taken a great deal of time to selectively re-colour...

Nice job.

Cheers;

Lee

Thanks for all the comments, your correct about the cropping it was a toughie seaboarder.

Kevin spot on with the location, Im in the throws of moving down to the area from nottingham and took some time out from house hunting to chill and take a few shots around the harbour its a cool place.

Well done Bluedog you've got me bang to rights, I've been tinkering with hdr's and this shot has had the treatment, I've attempted not to overdo it and the noise in the shot was becoming a problem, so noise ninja's been used as well.

I know a lot of people are slagging off hdr photos but I see it as a bit of fun and think Its certainly helped this Image, although Im sure as people will say the same effect can be achieved through photoshop, but hey, I like it so who gives a damn.

Fantastic shot buddy and excellent PP work :D

Agree with Lee's comment on the sky, has it been desaturated ? It's a great sky for the shot whatevers been done.
