I find it amazing that so many people from other countries speak English. I just noticed that there are people here from all around the world.

I'm currently at a conference in Spain where the only language communicated is English, regardless of the fact that there's attendees from 50 different countries here.

I beg to differ on that point. Maybe not accents, but there are some differences that come through the type.
