Ok guys and girls who have the 24-105 f4 L IS what is your sharpest f stop for this lens? I have been using this lens for about 3 weeks and to be honest I am not the happyest. Some pics are looking ok but others are not so good. I am no noob to photography so user error is not likly but hey still a possibility lol

If anyone has any pictures or suggestions please let me know. Ill post some pictures soon.

I've been pleased throughout the zoom range, getting sharp results at f/4 although f/8 ~ f/11 does seem to be the sweet spot.

Here's some results from mine at various apertures:

I haven't noticed any softness issues with mine at any particular aperture. I'm not much for testing lenses to determine the "sharpest" aperture. I use whatever aperture I need to get the shot. Sharpness is not the best measure of a good photo.

Greetings,

Acording to my tests its fairly sharp from f4-f11 but peaking at f11, more noticable in the corners.
