a halloween picture...I have been working on my composition.

canon 30D 1.4 1/60 iso 400

the only thing I wonder is if I should of used a lower iso

Looks cool but a tad to dark on my monitor. I didn't see the child until taking a second and closer look at the pic.

You can also take three bracketed shots, and merge them, as one image. This way, you keep the darkness, which sets the mood. You keep the childs face a tad brighter. Lastly, you keep the pumpkin from being blown out. Merged, I am sure it would be a great shot. Composition is fine...as it keeps you wondering...especially with the friendly pumpkin face, and the childs interaction with it.

Nice pic. Thanks for sharing, and I hope I helped a little.

I like it too. A tad dark for some but not for me. I'm always a bit afraid of attempting shots like this but you've nailed it. Well done :)
