Amazing pics! Colors are bright, yet well balanced. And superb sharpness.
But that snake is eeeeks! Kudos to you for shooting it from such close quarters and to ur daughter too for wanting to pet it!

Thanks nilroy, I appreciate the nice feedback...

Great family shots. I like #5....wonderful setting and interesting tree on the right. Did you carve your inititals as well?

Thank you, unfortunately, it never crossed my mind to carve my initials in the tree. Hmm, maybe I can pp them in there ;)

Great pics - love the snake - any idea what kind it is?

Thanks, I believe it's referred to as a black rat snake, I think they like to hang out on farmlands quite a bit...

The colors are so vivid in number one that they don't even look real! Beautiful work!

Thanks you, the foliage behind her is actually a some kind of bush and it was just so red, I had to get some shots...

I do love a thread where every photo you look at seems better than the previous, then you look back at them and realise they're all cracking shots. This is one of those threads, brilliant mate, beautiful shots all of em.

These are really nice. I love the colors in them. Nice job.

As for the snake looks like what we in the south call a Chicken Snake...

G-money, thank you! I heard of Chicken snake before too. I did a quick google on the snake names and found something interesting. Just a little gee whiz here.

According to Answers.com..

Any snake that frequents farmland and is not a Cottonmouth or Rattlesnake, is often called any of these:

Chicken Snake
Rat Snake
Fox Snake
Tiger Rat Snake

And they usually like to eat Chicken eggs, chicks, or rats. :D
