Now that it more up to par it hardly comes off the camera. At least until I can afford the 17-40 L. I'm actually enjoying using this lens now. Happy Shooting, Herb

canonloader Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 09, 2006 10:39 | #8 Hey Herb, mind telling what the cost for re-calibration was? I just had my 100-400L done, [$193 + shipping], and it's a whole different lens. I think my 28-135 needs it too. I like the lens, but now that I know what to look for, I see it's soft. Great shot! I have been singing the praises of my 28-135, against the background of constant claims of softness. I am just glad that mine is sharp without having to have it recalibrated! Mine was under warranty so I signed it up on the Irvine Canon site then sent it in (Insured, for about $12 USD). 10 days later I had it back and so far seems to be doing what it was intended to do. Happy Shooting, Herb

Happy Shooting, Herb
