From my trip to Arches NP in Moab, UT. Would have preferred some more clouds and a sunset to eliminate the shadow. They are the LaSal mtns in the background.

cc's welcome

Gary

Nice pic, personally in that scenario I would have used the shadow as a feature. Framing the rock bottom right so the shadow is completely in the shot, showing a kind of symmetry along with the center of the pic showing the distance.

Thats a clever idea, and i suppose a CP or nd grad filter would help with the sky to bring out the nice blue.
At the end of the day,its a smashing picture, stunning place.;)

I agree it's a great shot at a wonderful location :)

I also agree about the inclusion of the full shadow ;)

You did well considering the harsh lighting. I agree with Mint_Sauce's suggestion and I also thing that a CP would have helped with the sky (although I believe the effect of a polarizer would be much stronger to the left of the frame because of the position of the sun).

OK...took the suggestions and left the shadow in...I agree it does need the CP and the with the shadow in makes more sense. Gives me a reason to go back!

Thanks.

Well, it goes without saying, I really like Delicate Arch. (Mine has been PhotoChopped, of course.) I enjoy going there for sunset, but you got a very nice shot. Love the full shadow.
