The Golden Hour Part 2 - Sauchar Point - Elie - Fife

The partly clouded skies were breaking up nicely and the sun just beginning to rise over the horizon, I've never shot any decent sunrises so this moment was quite exciting for me, scuttling across the slippery seaweed covered rocks to get decent compostions I even managed to confuse a deep pool of water with a stepping stone and again, went knee deep for the love of photography

Thanks Jim The Fife coast is a great area for coastal photography and just an hours drive for me. I kinda stumbled upon Elie in the summer so if you can recommend any other areas I should consider then throw them this way Buddy

Your absolutely right about the Fife coast ... have you tried around Dysart and Ravenscraig Castle??

I like the second and third ones. If you could have got slightly more light on the bottom of the second one then IMO that would be even better.

Still a good series of shots though. It really shows the benefits of getting out and about early

I find #1 a bit dark Scottie, agree with Rob above about #2 and like #3 the best.

,well,maybe you should get your specs with CP filters on them then.

# 2 & 3 do it for me sir , very good looking pictures IMHO.
That vign.even suits #2.

Do i see some very faded halo around the tower in # 3 ?:p

I also vote for #2 and #3. The reflection in #3 is great... so is the light. Good job!

Beautiful shots! The sunrise is gorgeous! The reflection amd the foreground in #3 are outstanding. Makes me wish I was there. Does anyone know what the ruin is from?

The second and third are the best Scottie,I really like the second beause of the lIghting.

Love #2! You even made seaweed look beautiful - that glint of sun on the clump to the right of centre makes the shot for me. There is some odd flare in the bottom right corner which irritates me slightly.

#3 works well too. You picked your spot perfectly. Worth a wet foot or two!
