I like all of them, Scottie, including #1.
As a series there's a nice progession of light happening.

If I had to pick a favourite it would be #2.
You've used the seaweed to great effect.
(Now you don't hear that said too often.)
Perhaps a bit less sky.

Who is this Simon Bates character ?!
Must be before my time. ;)

Your absolutely right about the Fife coast ... have you tried around Dysart and Ravenscraig Castle??

cheers,
jim

Thanks for the info Jim and send my regards to T'ronno as they like to pronounce it ;)

I like the second and third ones. If you could have got slightly more light on the bottom of the second one then IMO that would be even better.

Still a good series of shots though. It really shows the benefits of getting out and about early

When mother nature plays her part, Aye !!!!

Thanks Robert The 1st & 2nd shots could always do with a tad more light or less shadow, perhaps I'll consider this when I print it up.

I find #1 a bit dark Scottie, agree with Rob above about #2 and like #3 the best.

Cheers John I guess there is a little too much of the shot in Silhuette, again..I'll try a few crops. :)

,well, maybe you should get your specs with CP filters on them then.

Good idea Dimitri, although it was the seaweed I needed to see through ;)

I also vote for #2 and #3. The reflection in #3 is great... so is the light. Good job!

Thanks Buddy

Beautiful shots! The sunrise is gorgeous! The reflection amd the foreground in #3 are outstanding. Makes me wish I was there. Does anyone know what the ruin is from?

Thanks Carol, I can only guess it was a watch tower of some kind, The Firth of Forth was quite a busy throughway.

The second and third are the best Scottie,I really like the second beause of the lIghting.

Thanks Reigh, I too like the colour cast the slow shutter speed has given the water.

Love #2! You even made seaweed look beautiful - that glint of sun on the clump to the right of centre makes the shot for me. There is some odd flare in the bottom right corner which irritates me slightly.

#3 works well too. You picked your spot perfectly. Worth a wet foot or two!

Mike that weird flare was bizzare, perhaps only picked up in low light, here's a closeup of what seems to be a projection of the lens barrel off the Filters.

I guess I never tried hard enough to remove it ......

#3 works for me, buddy. :D #2 is definitely...different. It looks rather otherworldly to me. Very interesting image.

Hi Scott
I had that reflection thing once. It really threw me for a while.
I suppose that one of those very expensive bellows lens hoods would do the trick.
Mind you I'm guessing at that.

Well I'm kinda glad I ain't the only one, It didn't turn up on any of my other shots so I'll just put it down to experience and keep an eye out for it happenning again.
