Wow! Great shot! I can see that huge on the wall of an ice cream shop.

Excellent.. I really love that pose.... Did you try another one with zoom effect? Would look good if you had the top half just as you've got it and the bottom half having a zoom effect right into his mouth...

hehe. thats a keeper.
show it to his girlfriends in like 12 or so years.
seperate out all of one color... randomize the rest and use the "yellows" or whatever single color to write his name, or an arrow, or a heart or something- in such a way that the camera's perspective takes advantage of the viewpoint. (kinda like a left turn arrow on the pavement)

-well its probly a moot point anyways. around kids, those candies dont last but a day or so.

lovely

but I think the blur of the m and m's in front is a big distraction

Normally I would agree - I can't stand blurry foreground objects. But in this case what the blurred fore M&Ms do is push my eyes straight to the best part of the picture - a very cute 6 year old posing perfectly for an M&M payout. ;)

Thanks Marie and Athena. I also agree that a blurred foreground usually doesn't work for some images... but this one it didn't seem to bother me as much either. Perhaps it is what Athena said, in it leads you to the star of the image - my 6 year old's delight.

Thanks for looking!
William

Couple of DSLRs, number of lenses and other stuff... plenty short on talent.

thanks William
the blurred m and m's in the foreground (like they are) don't lead my eyes into the 'main' of the picture at all
your son is the star when I start looking but then when the picture rolls on the blurred m and m's take from the shot
and the complete picture
(for me)
but its not important at all if it does not bother you and I hope the opinion does not spoil anything
you mentioned you would appreciate c & c's and thats what any thoughts here on the forum are, just opinions
what really matters is what you yourself think and are happy with

:)

Absolutely Marie, thanks for taking the time to comment, as I really do appreciate the feedback. I apologize for seeming otherwise, and should've kept my own thoughts about the image to myself.

The more I look at the picture now, the more the blurry m&ms up front do sort of bother me, lol.

Thanks again.
