Your thoughts

This is my 1st posting. I have been looking around on here for about a year now.
IThis is a shot I took in Warsaw Poland when I was there in 2006. I had just got my Canon 20D. It was about 2PM. It had snowed then the sun came out.

I would love to hear from all of you on your thoughts. Good or bad.

The softening of colors and loss of contrast with distance as a result of the sllight fog creates a wonderful effect which provides depth to the picture and also sets a mood.

Do not be concerned about the fact that the figures in the foreground/middle-ground are almost silhouettes - it is appropriate to the scene.

I could live with a cropping of the lower 5-10% of the image, because the foreground tends to go on a bit too much with the Belgian Block paving stones.

I think this is a superb, blue ribbon image - congratulations!

I think it is great. It has an old or even historic feeling to it. Maybe it's because of the location, but regardless, it's a nicely framed image.

Funny, I think I would prefer to lost a bit from the top of the image, but really like the cobbles leading you into it. With the complete lack of anything to show what era the image is from, it could also make a great black and white, or sepia conversion.

Either way, it's a great shot, and welcome to the forums!
