Here’s a few shots from last nights Canadian Western Hockey League action between the Medicine Hat Tigers and the visiting Prince Albert Raiders. The Tigers won the game by a score of 4-3 in a shootout. Shot with my 1DmkIIN and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens. All were taken through the glass.
C&C always welcome.

#1 Raiders goaltender Tyler Esau bears down as the play comes out of the corner…

Love the shots. Great WB. Do you use custom WB or some other setting? I have taken a few shots here in Ontario of the OHL Peterboro Petes, but I am not having the results you are. I hope Santa can bring me a 70-200 2.8 if I am a good boy!

Thanks. I use AWB and shoot RAW, then I adjust white balance during post processing.

FANTASTIC!! My fave is the 2nd last, love the action you captured with the puck. I actually live 4 hours north of Prince Albert.

Those are absolutely great. I'm curious how clean the glass was? I shot my first hockey game last weekend and the glass was pretty bad. Of course this was just a small local rink so it wouldn't be as nice as a WHL arena.
