The first couple which asked me to do their engagement photos, and here are some results. Please give me some feedback, I just got my first DSLR 2 months ago, ahahah.

All criticism welcomed....

Bodies: Canon 40D & Grip, Canon 5D
Lenses: Canon 70-200 2.8L IS, Canon 24-70, Canon 50L 1.2, Canon 85 f/1.8, Sigma 50mm Macro
Flash: Canon 580ex II, Pocket Wizard Plus II (2)

great shots. beautiful couple. i think the first one is just way too dark. it's a great pose, don't get me wrong...but fill flash or facing them towards the light or where more natural sunlight could be on their face would have been a better angle. the way you have here, all detail on the face is lost.

the second one, great job. might possibly want to take a little of the red channel out to get rid of a little of her rosey red cheeks. white balance seems a tad off, but it could be my monitor...i'm having problems w/ calibration since a recent format, so maybe someone else can vouch for that. the skin tones are pale, very flat. but overall a good image. great start for your portfolio with your new SLR. :) keep on shooting.

some curves and contrast would help both. but lovely couple and nice poses..

I like them both very much. But I think #1 is a too tightly cropped, I'd like to see more of the right. I don't mind the exposure though because the beautiful background is so nicely exposed... I'd just like to see more of it.

For two, my only complaint is her face looks a bit too red on my monitor.
