Nikon bashing is part of the rivelry, but Nikon does make lots of good glass equal to and in some cases better than Canon. They both have their winners, lenses so sharp you could shave a gnat, and both have less than perfect glass. Now if Carl rose from the grave to make some glass for you, that would be impressive.

i was quite excited when i looked at my mums glasses and saw they were carl zeiss...:)

Zeiss creates eye lenses? I guess they are super expensive and high quality, right? That's what I'm going if I have an option, hahahaha. Do they create frames too?

How does one find out who created the glass, or plastic in my case? I figure my glass came from Billy-Joe Bob's house of cheep glass as I got them from Costco. In Costco's defense, these are about the best pair I've had in a long time. They were able to match my glasses and contacts so I don't have the normal vision fall off when switching from contacts to glasses.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

How pricey are Zeiss?

No idea. I asked my optician about Nikon and he said they're more for people with higher perscriptions or difficult to fix problems. My eyes aren't *that* bad so I stick with the normal plastic stuff.

Yeah, I think my eyes could use a little tweaking. Could be a psychological thing where I think I have problems. I have to get an appointment I guess and see the optometrist.. Wonder if he knows anything about pricey camera glass :D.

I think I'de kill myself if I had to deal with the responsibilities of contacts, and the fact some people have comfort problems with them. I am not really opposed to the idea of glasses. Would suit me anyway, I'm geeky enough to desserve a good pair.

That my stance right now... I like the way I look in them, but I can't shoot with them very well. I end up taking them off..

You might be suprised. I am only 24, and thought I had great vision. Turns out is horrible..

I could not get the cheapest glass because I have astigmatism I KNOW THAT IS SPELLED REALLY BADLY.

Mine came from Sam's Club. I think it cost my like 264, for the glasses and the exam, and I got some of the most expensive frames, and lenes.
