Did you use a TV to provide the light?

I should've disguised the catchlight to make it harder.

I'd seen myself in the mirror a while ago with the monitor light on my face and thought that could make an interesting shot. I've only just now bothered to do it. Citizen_Insane wrote in post #2244588 Yeah, I was going to say monitor or TV probably just because I can see the reflection of something square in your eye. I thought some people might think the catchlight was a softbox. There's no foolin' this POTN crowd. TheSteveMadden wrote in post #2244628 Dang! The suspense was over before I even got to the thread. Cool lighting. The first portrait is very strong (in a good way) . The only thing that bothers me is the catchlight in the on the shadow side eye. I think the portrait would be better either without it or with it toned down as it detracts from the darkish mood. All in all... very nice work. Thanks, Steve! Appreciate the criticism. I did some burning and I can see what you mean. I don't think I liked it as much with the catchlight completely removed. But it did look a bit better with it darkened a little.
