I'm not sure I should participate to this thread considering the quality of some of the shots presented :o

Anyway, here is my small contribution (my only - up to now - attempt at lizards..)

This one is quite interesting, is a southern heath monitor with a wolf spider catching a ride on its back.

Found this guy while riding 4x4 in the everglades the other day. He took off before I could move in any closer.

This guy catching some sun in Big Pine Key. He swam away like a fish as I approached.

Wow there are some nice shot here. Lots of skinks and gecko's, but my favorites have to be the bearded dragons. I worked with animalss for 6 years and we had a bearded dragon that was about 20 inches, he was awesome. He liked to hangout on you shoulder or front of your shirt and just ride around with you. this thread makes me miss my old job, a little.:(

I've been out of the reptile business for a few years so I can't name the species, but I believe it's what's commonly referred to as a plated lizard. Its a little hard to ID without a full body or sense of scale. Hope that helps.

I looooooove the Florida Keys. I always stay at Big Pine Key campground. I can't wait to get down there again now that I have good equipment and photograph the lizards and Key Deer!
