It was a mercy killing

IMAGE: http://images20.fotki.com/v356/photos/1/105162/2337834/IMG_0002-vi.jpg

I've ordered a Canon Ixus 60 to replace it - it's the camera I use at work for work stuff in the workplace of stuff not working.

Erm.

If I unscrew the lens, it'll be done with a hammer.

You should give it a decent burial atleast.. be kind don't put it in the wastebasket... if it wasn't soo big i'd suggest flushing it down the toilet like dead goldfish or cremation.... but, in this case I think maybe a burial at sea??...

Is the E45 an unrecoverable error? If not, how about giving the camera to one of your kids. Also, Kodak cameras open pretty easily. My niece's camera had a piece of plastic rattling around that occasionally would get something stuck. I opened the camera and shook it out. It is still working after nearly 2 years.

Apparently it's a firmware issue that Kodak can rectify, but at a cost comparable to a new camera - which is what Mr Google says anyway. As it's 5 years old I'll not bother.

I don't have kids so they can't have it - and it belongs to the company I work for.

So I reckon I'll just brutally sacrifice it, now that it's FUBAR.

;)

In that case, I believe a discretion might be in order. Or maybe a quick game of log pass football with a fumble-fingered receiver, or maybe a stress test. How big a car can drive over it without squashing it to atoms.:lol:
Which ever you choose, post a pic.

Ah yes, the LS443, no? I have one sitting in my room that hasn't worked in years. Lens got stuck half way out.
