see my "full list" in my signature for my PC.

I use my networked laptop sometimes if I'm going somewhere, and all images are stored on my PC and backed up to an external Maxtor HDD (software does this automatically via a scheduled sync)

Next PC that I'll build early to mid next year will have 4GB RAM as 1GB is really the bare minimum I'd recommend for smooth graphic editing. It's possible on 512mb of course, but it's ungodly slow.

i have a mac mini. i'm happy with it... its quiet, small and does everything i need it to do. the only problem now is that the more photos i take the more i wish i had a backup drive. so, i've got my eye on a 750 GB external drive.

I have a Dell Dimension 4700 2.8GHZ Pentium 4 with HT....2 Gigs of Kingston Hyper-X Ram.
Only 80GB HD but hope to get a USB HD of equal or larger size.
My monitor is a 18in LCD.

But what I have works pretty nicely....FOR NOW! :D

My monthly photo archives are religiously backed up on CD's.
Both as taken RAW/JPG and processed.

Only if you plan on processing several pictures at a time, I have 512 in 2 of my computers and 1gb RAM in my Dell. But there are some people here who are quite serious about their computers. I usually PP one shot at a time and print out or save for printing later.

Home built..

DFI lanparty ultra nforce 4
3800+x2
2gb of ram (4x512 ocz premier)
2x 250 GB seagate drives, 1x 200 GB WD, all SATA

Kind of laggish, can't wait till I upgrade to a mac laptop. I have little hard drive space anyway left for photos so I should probably look into adding another hard drive.

I have two desktops and a laptop for traveling. All have at least 1GB ram. One of the desktops is reserved exclusively for photo editing. The other one I spend my time here on and if I am downloading add-ins for photoshop or any other programs they get tested on this one before they get to touch the other pc. I don't want to screw up the one pc that I've spent allot of time getting it just the way I want it.

The laptop is fine for quick editing on the road but I wouldn't want to have to do too much important stuff on it. I like having my bigger monitor and keyboard to work with on the desktops.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

I also have a dedicated desktop with 1GB ram for my PS software and with 2 dedicated printers. I love it. I feel very spoiled and enjoy the work much more that way. The laptop is just for traveling and on site printing. I have a portable Canon printer and it is very convenient to print 4x6's so people can see what they will be getting. My laptop is 5 years old now, so it's not very fast, but works great for my purposes. I am now considering getting another monitor (Samsung) for the desktop. My son has 2 and he says it's wonderful for working.

Anyone else use two 19 inch monitors at a time?

I use a pair of monitors, but not 19"

My dedicated baby (he says typing into a forum text box in Firefox on this very same "dedicated" machine  )
Sports a pair of Sony AG Trinitrons,. one in 24" (FW900) and one in 21" (G500)

4GB of RAM on a SuperMicro H8DCE Dual Opteron mobo with a pair of Dual core Opteron 275s running WinXP64 and WinXP32 (dual boot for hardware/software reasons)

I currently print to an i9100 13" wide format Canon printer (love it)
But I am awaiting the arrival (as of about 5 minutes ago) of a new iPF 5000 17" wide format printer :)
