My six year old daughter, Sylvia, at our favorite banyan tree the hour before sunset, as usual. EF 135 f/2L on 1Ds MkII.

Yes indeed, the 135L may be my A-number-1 favorite lens right now....especially on a FF camera.

Very nice as usual Josh, but I do find the vinces from the Banyan tree a little distracting in the first. It looks like you will have your hands full in the future.;)

Thanks, Mike. Yes, I completely agree on the dangling roots. And I almost didn't post it for that very reason. But I still like the shot. And yes, we're going to have our hands full. I'll be sure to be cleaning the firearms collection whenever she gets picked up for a date. Better yet, maybe I can have her cleaning the firearms whenever she gets picked up on a date. ;)

Looks like you have a great model to work with for years to come. I really like her pose in the first one. Shows a little attitude.

Thanks Art. I realize how lucky I am to have a little model like this to indulge me in my hobby. Here's one more from this shoot.

Outstanding!! Great use of natural light esp #1. Was there fill flash in some these? Bokeh is out of this world with that 135. My only critique is the stringy matter that covers the right part of the frame in #1.. it's a bit distracting maybe.

Dante, many thanks!

Rumrunner, no flash at all. Maybe a little bit of light reflected off the adjacent lake. There's just something about sunset light isn't there?
