(you will probably say the 2.8) but as far as durablity, picture quality and overall how its made. I dont mind spending the $ for the L f/2.4 but just seeing if i can go easy on the wallet for once. lol Tom

Personally, I like the heavier feel and better build of the sigma, but I find USM to be slightly superior to HSM.

Plus, the tripod collar comes standard with it. It is an absoulete, phenomenal lense. It has great IQ and from what I can tell, is well built. I am definitley happy I ended up with the Sigma.
