Shot at ISO 1600 with my 300D and decided to keep the noise in the pictures because I somewhat liked it's effect. What do you think?

Very interesting issues here.
It is difficult to tell whether or not the actual grain pattern in your original image is reproduced here after being sized for this forum. It would be very revealing to see what a Full Detail, 100% crop would show if selected as a relatively small portion of your original image and then posted with, ideally, no compression.

In any case, your images are both very nice - especially the raindrops image. Good composition, interest and exposure.

Congratulations!

I'm not 100% if I like the grain in the first, but I deffinately do in the second.

In the first, I'm not really liking the super narrow dof. I would have liked to see more of the drops in focus.

Second, this shot is very cool. You deffinately nailed it. Just wondering what the white(text?) on then side of the bench is. It almost looks like it was added in.

I agree with Shutter22... I think the first would be better as a sharp pic... taken in maybe ISO 200 if possible but the second one works really well

Yup.. #1 needed DOF to be "The money shot".

All that scribbling in the lower right doesn't help a bit though.

I"m with everyone, the first shot would benefit from being a clearer shot but the second one is great with the grain. Makes me feel like I'm back in time :)
good stuff
