and now I've corrected it, bought another Tamron 28-75 2.8!
Can't beleive I returned the first one.

Not bad,I thought about looking at this lens.The only problem is your white balance seems to be off.Maybe set it to tungsten.

WB looks off to me as well, does it not look good when set to AWB?

Yes, it does look off.

Canon sets Tungsten WB to 3200K. Tungsten lighting is often much warmer, often going down to 2800K or lower.

Next time, do a Custom WB before shooting.

How about sharpness?

I have taken othr pics on a tripod, which these are handheld, and they didn't seem to be as sharp.....kinda confused by that. The tripod shots were of a paper with fine print on my refrigerator, took them at f2.8, f4, and f8, it took till f8 to really have then sharp.

Thats normal for many lenses. Most seem to hit a "sweet spot" in the F8-F11 range.

Photographic bulbs for 'tungsten' lighting are 3200-3400K. Home incandescents burn warmer, down about 2800k.

yeah looks off to me, I get this sometimes too, how do you calibrate a monitor (sorry bout the stupid question if its simple)
