So, are you now trying to suggest that we should baptize new lenses with seagull shots instead of duckshots ? Potenza-Walore-Prestigio

You seem to be very brave, mi man.BTW, the gull shots are good and promising. However, the light you shot in was apparently not good, especially with a borderline lens like the Bigmah. Based on what I have seen, Bigmahs tend to do well in vary experienced hands (a singularly good copy ?) in very good light.

As you mentioned the light was not so good, it was shortly after noon when I finally had a chance to get out and get some pics. I'll try to get some "interesting" duck shots as penance for the gulls. www.creationspraise.zenfolio.com/

(5) Take a look at the PZ MTF test results. (I happen to trust those, some others might not.) (6) Sigma workmanship and finish is ....well, not Canon EF type . However, some folks manage to get good results with it, in fact I'd say despite it. ![]() just when I think I have it all figured out... Canon 30D BG_E2 Grip Rebel XT BG-E3 battery grip

Those aren't for the obligatory lens IQ test shot, gulls are for something entirely different; Honing your own skills at flight shots, and testing your Lens/Cameras AF speed and accuracy on moving subjects. IE: The Duck shot MUST come first, as why bother with the Gull shot if the Duck shot is "pooh" (technical term, try to keep up!) Speaking of Ducks and Poo, my most recent lens acquisition (nearly 12 months ago now) was of course accompanied by such a series. WITH A TWIST Duck BUTT Shots!

To me, the duck looks like it is nervously glancing upwards, with its wings held over its head, wearing the "I think the sky is falling" look....

Pete's third one of course reminds of a duck saying "there's an alligator on my b$#t get it off...get it off..." .. It's Permie's world, we just live in it! ~CDS
