Was on an outting the other day with my daughter, and I had my trusty fuji s7000 which is a great PS camera by the way and much lighter than my 20D so it is nice on hikes. I caught her while she was not looking and here is what I came up with. C&C anyone?

Thats a very nice pose, I like the way shes holding those feathers. Maybe a little fill would have kicked it up a bit.

I agree, but since I was only using point and shoot that day I wasn't carrying an external flash and popup just wasn't enough since it was a zoomed shot.

Agreed..this is a nice shot! The fact that a p&s delivered it makes it all the more impressive! Proves that a person doesn't need a top dollar camera to achieve top dollar photos! ;)

Cheers,

Composition is 90% of the battle with any camera, and this is very nicely done..

The "eyes" have it !

If anyone wants a P&S to use as a backup I highly recomend the s7000 fuji it has great glass and fairly cheap. It has manual controls similar to a DSLR, only problem is flash, onboard flash does not work in manual and you have to be extra careful when using a hotshoe flash due to voltage concerns. I did use this camera mounted on a Sunpak 622 super using a pc connector and a hotshoe protector. It worked great but no ttl only manual flash adjustments.

Composiotion is good but you need more fill flash.

I had one of those cameras. I didn't appreciate it since I didn't truly know what I was doing. Sold it and got the XT. It's actually a fine camera now that I look back. Kind of ahead of its time in some ways, for that particular camera type.

I agree with the others though. I can't just color or anything but some fill would definitely make this shot pop a bit more. The composition is excellent and the subject is gorgeous. :)

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Very nicely composed shot. When I don't feel like lugging my 30D, I take a Powerhot A620 and have taken many good shots with it. P&S's are very useful.
