If anyone wants a P&S to use as a backup I highly recomend the s7000 fuji it has great glass and fairly cheap. It has manual controls similar to a DSLR, only problem is flash, onboard flash does not work in manual and you have to be extra careful when using a hotshoe flash due to voltage concerns. I did use this camera mounted on a Sunpak 622 super using a pc connector and a hotshoe protector. It worked great but no ttl only manual flash adjustments.
Just another shutterbug.
I am not a photographer, I'm an image capture technician.
