I still have my Elan (EOS30)

I haven't shot a roll in over a year now, it is just not finanically viable to shoot film all the time once you have digital. I do miss the fullframe, which is great and the absent need of sensor cleaning. But the immediate feedback from digital with its low day to day running cost makes it a no brainer.

I went to AF with the 7E, giving my FD equipment (original F-1, T90, bunch o'lenses) to my son. I plan to keep it but rarely use it. However, I just got the 24-105 f4L and my very first thought was that when I get back home, I'm going to buy a roll or two of Velvia to see what the lens REALLY can do.

I have a decent FD collection to go with the A-1... But since going digital, to be honest - I haven't shot much film. I miss the ol' kit, but the hassle of film, developing plus the expense...

Though I have toyed with the idea of picking up a 1v-HS. Just so I can use all the new glass with film, if I ever wanted to.

Go with a used Elan, you can get them on B&H for around $200 in great condition. Don't bother buying new.

I picked up a roll of Kodachrome 64 and Fujichrome Velvia 100 the other day because my SLRs ( Minolta SRT 100 & Minolta X-GM) are feeling left out of the fun.

If it's stationary or moves, I shoot it. However, no amount of love or money will get me to shoot a wedding or any other special occasion.

Common theme here... "Since I got my 10D, 20D, 30D, 300D, I haven't shot a roll of film"... Me too! I still have an AE-1P and some FD glass that I think I'll keep for nostalgia purposes. I just sold a very nice 1N HS on eBay for about $250.00 (540EZ flash included). My advice is to skip the new 7NE (at $400.00) and pick up a used 1 or 1N. You can get them in near mint condition for much less than a new 7NE. I had a 7E (basically the same as a 7NE) and it felt like a complete toy compared to the 1N. The 1N is a NICE camera, and they are going for little cash on eBay. Just my .0002 cents!

If someone wants a Rebel G w/28-90 lens in decent condition, hit me up. I bought the body for the lens that came on it, so I put my old lens on it, and now it sits.

I just got an EOS30 (Elan 7e ?) on ebay for £62 ($118 ) and it's in mint condition. Lovely little camera - I use it for B&W film.

I still shoot an Elan 7e when ever I really want super color, digital has yet to even come close to chromes IMO. I so love slide film...

I'd shoot it more but processing is getting harder and harder to find.

I had/have a Minolta 35mm film camera with a bunch of lenses for some time. When I finally went dSLR, I got the 10D and to this day much prefer it to anything else (until I break down and get a 5D ... Santa, can ya hear me?). About a year and a half ago I bought the 7NE mostly because I decided to start shooting some film again and it was just to much of a pain lugging two bags of camera gear around.

Can't say I use the 7NE a lot but when I do I really like the results. I try not to use 'regular' film in it and go more for things like extra color slide film or extra fine grain.

I find the 7NE somewhat similar to the 10D especially in size even though it's lighter. It's a nice camera and it's just another fun way to enjoy photography.

Since 2000 I've been about 90% digital, 10% film. I got my EOS 30D last month...sold my EOS 620 on ebay last week. 100% digital from now on. :)

I voted both, because I recently started picking up our old Rebel G and using it. It was amazing to see the field of view differences between it and the Rebel XT when using the 70-200mm f/4L. Just like before when using a film camera, however, I have yet to get those photos developed. That was about three weeks or so ago. :)
