^ Sweet!

Oddly, I'm shooting more film these days than I ever have.

Theres just something about film that I just look at and just think wow. Even with standard rolls. I tend to shoot high contrast black an whites on my EOS 1 and no matter how hard I try, I can never get the same results with digital.

I just find its become more enjoyable after I have learnt how to take good pictures.

Nothing says high contrast like Tri-X pushed to 1600 with a deep red filter...

I (very) occasionally shoot film.

Becomes harder to find locally :(

However, I *never* have a "wet" print made, or use my enlarger anymore (Anyone want a Leica V35?)

I scan all film now.

I have a Mamyia RB67, Canon Ae-1, Yachica Fr-1, lomo fishey no.2, and lots of random point and shoots. I love Film, I have a 40D for paid shoots, but I use film for everything else.

Yes. :)

I haven't done wet printing in a while either, and I'm debating whether or not I'm going to get back into it. Right now I scan negatives on an Epson V700 and output to a PIXMA Pro9000. But it's not quite the same...

The shipping might be a tad expensive

And I don't want to get rid of it for sentimental reasons. :o

For the amount they fetch nowadays, I'd rather convert it to a desk light ;)

Oh I know, plus it's 220v... Nice enlarger though!

Desk light, hehe. Good idea!

Oh, thanks! :)

You can find that particular experiment on pages 6 through 8 in this exhibition (external link). I shot one roll of Tri-X at EI 1600 with a red filter in one test, and the other was a chromogenic film, Ilford XP2 at EI 400 - with an orange-red filter for slightly less exaggerated contrast. I prefer the Tri-X as I also like the intense grain from pushing it.

I am interested in picking up a good film camera to use for school photography classes. I do shoot digital with a 5D and do have EF mount lenses, so it'd be great if I can get a film camera that has EF mounts and is fairly up to date.
