i know filters are a good class protection and blocks out some light rays. but what i am not sure of if it makes a difference what brand you buy. i was looking at the B+W ones and then the Sunpack( i believe these are the wolf/ritz camera brand) and the only difference is $60 for the ones i need. so do you think it is worth spending the exrtra cash or save the $60 to invest else where?
I don't know how good the Sunpaks are. But the general rule is you get what you pay for. B+W and Heliopans are highly regarded here. Tiffen and no names are hated. If you want decent filters, the Hoya HMC filters are good for the money. Avoid the green packaged Hoyas, they are cheap.
There have been some posts comparing cheap UV filters and no filters. Can be a huge difference.
It would be more helpful if someone can post if Sunpaks are good quaility or not. They may be another brand re-labeled.
