Hi, just wanted to share.
Somehow it came to my mind to shoot my 28-135 IS with a ringflash. And I got this kind of reflection. I held the flash off the lense (50mm 1.8 ) above the camera.
You can actually count lense elements by this:).

Strange that those little reflected rings all have different color and different angle. And those two on the bottom look like they just dropped down.

Just found this interesting...

I think he meant that you couldn't stage a shot like this. I don't know what made the reflection, but I like it.

Actually, it's easy to stage. I took several shots of it to pick the best.
It has to be the right angle between the flash, the lense, and the lense you're shooting with. When the ringflash was ON the lense (on camera), reflections were all in the middle, so I took the flash off and held it a little up. The distance between lenses was about 0.5ft.

I think this effect happened because all elements of the lense have different shapes and they are covered with coating which caused the reflections.

I meant that if you actually wanted to capture the ringflash reflection on every element inside the lens exactly like you have done, you probably couldn't manage it :)
