"What Do You Want For Christmas?"

For everyone to stop and reflect on its true meaning.

Best not to lead into the religious section of that discussion. I will say, though, that history has proved that the actual "Jesus" was born April 6, and that nothing special took place on Dec. 25th. Simply the day it's observed, I guess.

I was asked, and I answered. Actual history, by the way, has not been able to pinpoint his exact birth date. So, choosing one day out of all is as good as any since it's just a date set aside to celebrate that most precious of gifts from our Heavenly Father.

Got one thing taken care of, went and got a Nintendo Wii for my kids this morning. If they are really lucky I may even let them play on it a bit.

True, and not to lead to religious discussion myself either, but from a historical and biblical standpoint, the bible does say that the shepherds were in the field, and heck on December 25th, i wouldnt be in the field... sheep can fend for themselves!!

I won't know for a while. It really is for my kids so will be wrapped up and hidden away until christmas. Bummer, as I'm itching to play it.

Well I've played it, and the controller is mildly annoying. The graphics, while nice looking and less "rough" than in the past (not smooth edges), are more cartoon-like. I only played the tony hawk game, and the gameplay was phenomenal, and the picture quality and colors were so bright and vivid, my eyes actually hurt after a few minutes.

Make sure you give it a thorough testing between now and Christmas Day, you dont want the kids to be disapointed if it is not working when they open it :-)

I gave it about 90 minutes of testing last night after ther kids where in bed. Only played the sports title that comes with the console. Holy crap those controllers are fun. All the sports games are good, but boxing shows it off the best. You don't press any buttons while boxing. Everything you do, guarding, jabs, hooks, is all done just by moving the controller and nunchuck around. Bring them up to your face and you see your on screen character guard his face. Jab the nunchuck forward and your character lets fly a jab with his left. It was a lot of fun. I'd even recommend not buying a 50 1.4 just so you can get one of these. :)

OK, maybe that steps over the line a little, buy the lens first, but if anyone is even slightly into computer games this is a really fun console.

I don't know why, but I want nothing, no camera equipment, nothing. it boggles my mind why i don't want anything , i need stuff but, I don't know why. Now Im sure you gusy can change that. I do want a Canon 300mm 2.8 IS, But I plan to get that in the summer, and I wouldnt want that for x-mas unless I won it. I want no money, nor lens. Very wierd. That Wii system seems so cool. I remember playing the first nintendo with my brother when it came out, it's amzing how games changes from 1d-2d-3d.

I posed earlier that I would wait until tax returns, since then I've bought a monopod, two photography DVDs, a mini-ball head, and a couple of other things. I guess before I buy a really long lens, 400, 400 or 500 prime, I will order the Canon 2X TC. I got the bug bad. Are their medications I can take for this hobby, or do I just continue to buy and tell my wife that these lenses and all are only $50 to $75? Hehehehe

So Jesus was born in Clearwater, Florida ;)

Hopefully. If there as ever a place where he was needed......

Actually, he spends his winters here in the California Desert. No sheep or camels, and we're close enough to Los Angeles that the smog blocks those pesky bright stars in the north.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I wanted a Nintendo Wii, but was unable to get my hands on one. To comfort myself I bought a Nintendo ds. Its pretty cool and I can carry it around. I am hoping to buy myself a laptop between now and Christmas.
