Going on the cheap this year: I would like to get a functional camera bag for in field use, like a Crumpler $7m home bag or the like.

I tend to ramble. Feel free to put me on ignore.

NOTHING! In the past two weeks, I've bought:
30D
17-40 L
70-100 2.8 L
50 mm 1.8
580 EX
Canon 1.4 Teleconverter
Kenok tube set
Storm wheeled hard case
Photoshop CS2
Hired a private tutor
Ordering a 20" monitor for laptop
Etc.

BUT............... when tax returns come in, I expect the usual refund which will be big enough to hide (wife) a purchase of a 300mm or 400mm prime and super macro lens. By "hide," I mean the check lcan be light a couple of grand prior to depositing and she won't notice the difference. Hehehehe (insert evil laugh here). Better learn a few things before I add more stuff to the learning curve.

Oh I doubt it. Almost two months of that beauty just sitting in the box? Even if I were her husband, I wouldn't make her do that. I gotta say..sounds silly to not be enjoying it.

I think the best her husband should hope for is that she puts it back in the box after she's used it... that would be reasonable.. don't ya think?
