this is sort of a "chamber of commerce" photo, but i the Olympic Mountains in the background were very clear that day, and i had to take the shot. the mountains are about 125 miles away...

thanks.. it'd look a lot different today. we've had 9 inches of rain - a quarter of our annual average - in the first 10 days of November... you couldn't see those mountains today with a telescope!

yes, this was taken with the Tamron and a polarizer. PP was some sharpening, a slight bump in saturation and contrast, and increasing the blue just a bit in PS to bring out the nice deep blue in the lake...
