THursday night saw me at Junktion 7 in Nottingham for a band night. I was expecting a fairly small venue but this place is, well tiny.
Tiny, and very keen on using heavy red gels on the lighting
Anyway, I was there to photograph the last band, Hinterland, who are a rock act from Nottingham who will soon be supporting Amen on their european tour. I know one of the guys from the band who was keen for some shots.
Here are Hinterland

What I was up against when shooting:
Lead singer with a tendancy to spray his drink on the (small) crowd
Unpredictable & uneven lighting
Damn nasty metal barrier right across the front of the stage
Front focussing 30mm F1.4
I hardly got any shots of the drummer because I had one fast lens which was the 30mm.
Overall I'm quite dissapointed with how it went and the shots I got. Fortunatly I should get another go in a larger and significantly better lit venue in January - and I might pick up a longer lens for that one too!
Comments and Critique very welcome
