Noise Reduction

I took this photo with the sole intention of trying to improve my noise reduction skills. This was taken at iso 800. I use photoshop CS2 with noise ninja. When i process images they end up too soft and blurry so I apply an unsharp mask and they just never seem to come out like others that I have seen.

Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated. This is an un-edited image.
