Was in a room Wed minding my own business and here came the 1.4 just in time for the 8.2 , lbs that is. It was a good day, I think due to the usm the 1.4 is alot more quiet.

Congratulations - I can't think of a better reason to get a new portrait lens than to get a new person take portraits of!

thank you and that was my reason ya know them hospitals need a 1.4 for lowlight.

did you wife get upset when you took a pic of your new baby with a camera lens? i'm kind of shocked myself.... did you really take the box to the hospital?

Thanks everyone. I got the lens delivered there. Family in town went by house and it was on porch grabbed it knowing I was at hosp with the wife in labor. Luckily I got it when it was just started so I could open it and play with it. Then when he was born I thought hey why not two good deliverys in one day needs a pic.
