That's the lens fully extended at 500mm. It's a bit shorter when it's at 50mm.

Snow is great at first, but after weeks and weeks and months and months well, you get the picture. Our winters start around Halloween usually and last till late April. And since most of what I shoot are flower/ butterflies/ birds my picture taking outings are less than fulfilling. Plus it's hard to take pics when your freezing.
