Had a model shoot at the beach today. She brought her kids so we made them a part of the event. What do you think?

Well, im just going to nitpick.

#2 - you cropped his hands. That is the only harsh part about that cute photo.
#5 - i know you wanted the desat with that one, but i think it would actually benefit from being saturated more.
#6 - I wish the other kid was looking at you.

Digging #1 a lot.

And I stab myelf in the eye everytime I look at it, too. But, it's a candid. I couldn't get back far enough with the prime when he looked up. I HAD to snap the photo.

I think you're right. I'm going to go back and work on that one.

I think what you can do is do a second photo, especially with kids. I know i do that with my models. Sometimes the "bore them" method works to get them both in line to looking or picking up something unique.

But what do you do when the kid doesn't want to anymore? That's what happened on that picture. I think he found a bit of seaweed that was more interesting than me and my camera.

The new #5 is up and it's a whole lotta red. You're right, Grego. I shouldn't have tried so hard. :D

Yeah, i think more saturation brings out the life in her.

#6 would have been very nice if you zoomed in on just the people IMO.

Yes. However I was considering the photo being framed so I wanted to give room. Not to mention that the surroundings are just as much a part of that photo as the people. At the same time, I believe something happened with the picture in that I have more image than I thought I had when I originally snapped the photo. Maybe it's the 20D's sensor. Maybe it's the lens. Maybe it's me not remembering correctly. I'll have to do some tests...

I like them all, except #3. I'm trying to figure it out... but I just don't get it.
