More info | Nov 12, 2006 00:23 | #2 Infinity is the distance beyond a given point. In the case of most lenses, infinity is the distance beyond ranged focus scale...usually 10-50 feet. In the most simplistic terms...a lens focused to infinity would be able to take an in focus image of anything from 50 feet to the stars and beyond.
