I brought my 580EX to Disneyworld and used it quite a bit. You'll never know when you'll need it. But I don't think they allow flash photography on the indoor rides.

I would just stick with the pop up flash. a 580 is going to be a pain to carry around there on the camera.

Bring everything you have...

THEN deside what you want to carry for the day.

A flash can definitely come in handy while in the 'World. But it can be a pain to carry mounted. Perhaps have it in your bag for when you really need it - you'll need it with the zoom more than the prime, certainly. And you can't use it on rides.

But for fill lighting or when the sun starts to go down it can really help light up your subjects while keeping the background exposed well.
