It was a particularly poignant day for me as my son took part in the parade for the first time. He was one of the Coldstream Guardsmen in the band on the left of the Cenetaph and told me he had a tear in his eye when the march went past him.

I watched all of it live on Tv
(with tears now and again too )
it was a wonderful tribute . felt privileged to watch the march past

it seemed even more emotional then other years
maybe because of the fact a lot of those men and women are getting so much older
and may not be around for next years ceremonies
