Sandy, I like the third one just a shame about the sky it has potential :)

The one with the canoes - I think I'd like to have seen a close-up of just the canoes it would make a good colour study

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

I love the house/tree shot - lovely house, fabulous tree. They are all nice shots, and as Meerkat says, perhaps a close up of the canoes would be nice too.

Still painting and wallpapering - not sure which got more paint and glue on, me or the wall:confused:

Thanks all for the wonderful comments, I was suprised that the tree still had leaves, it's one of the very few. The day was completely overcast as a matter of fact it started raining just as I had finished my walk about the village. The reason I showed the building and the canoes was that I was trying to show more of the town that I live in and what I see. Here is a crop on the 'Canoes of Many Colors'

Thanks Tim. The view of the river was taken from the other side of that house, you can just make out the porch roof in the upper left. They sure have a nice view.

Thanks John for the comment. Wished they'd mixed them up better, guess I'll have to stop in and tell them to be more creative with the colors when they stack them.

The third shot Sandy is quite impressive with good autumn colours. I prefer the redness of the leaves rather than the yellows in the falls. This is a well composed shot.
The other shots show a good interest of the area, so well done.

Thank you so much, It's easy when you have an old mill town, granted not as old as those in the UK,:D This is or was the birthplace of the Collins Machette and other fine edged tools. The company started in 1828 along the banks of the river making axes. Sadly it closed operations in 1966 and moved to Central America. The village (the old factory buildings) since then have seen a rebirth so to speak, as a very popular arts and crafts center with boutiques and antique shops. It's sort of become an in place.
