I really love this picture of my cousin, but her shirt is so blown out:( I don't want to make it black and white, but can you think of any other ideas of how to fix?

is your monitor calibrated? on mine it looks perfectly exposed, an I comfirmed this with opening it in CS2 and checking the histogram, it looks nearly ideal.

I must say I am in no way ever saying I know anything about anything... hehe and if you would not have mentioned that you didn't like the white shirt I would not have picked up that it was an issue. I like the picture you took but as an attempt to learn to correct the things that other's with more knowledge and experience point out a need to have corrected, I attempted to fix her shirt a bit... I hope you like it :)

She is a cutie and you have a great model it looks like :)

I too think that this is a really great capture. But just for the sake of doing it I played with the balance of the white level of the shirt and oh by the way this shot look great in B&W

Just by looking at what you posted and what Valerism posted it does look to be blown out a just a tad. If you look at valerism PS copy I can see more texture in the shirt then in the origional. Either way it's a nice shot and your lucky to have such alittle beauty as a model.. Make sure to post more.

The shirt looks fine on my monitor, sounds like it looks a lot different on yours. How does it print?

Looks great on mine too, I have to agree that it has to be a monitor issue.
