First one for me, nicely balanced image, although I'd crop or clone that intrusion top right?

Second , I don't think the DOF is sufficient , therefore a little soft in places.

thanks Les believe it or not i cropped to get rid of that intrusion.lol must start putting my glasses on..lol i know what u mean about the dof in the 2nd but the mrs liked it

The first shot is quite impressive with nice details and colour, clone out the little piece of rock on the right edge will make this image even better.
Nice colour and pattern on the second shot, but to get the birds head turned a little towards the camera would be better but sometimes the birds never do.
Well done and glad you enjoyed your day out with the lads.
