I popped over to visit Dimitri on the west coast of Scotland the other day, and in between torrential rain, we nipped out to a little bay at Dunure. In between rubbing sea mist of our filters and cameras, I managed to get these shots that were taken within about 30 mins of each other.

They are all great, but I like the last one the best too... the motion in the water is awesome.

Dimitri led me to this little bay, and then pointed out numerous great places and angles for shots. By the time we left there, it was dark, and so I'll have to get the castle the next time. ;)

You should like that one best Dimitri, for that was the one that you composed, and I just pushed the button. ;) Just out of curiousity, how do you think that it would look if you were to process it?

I know the place well, I have done a couple of model shoots there ;)

If you want another location consider Maidens nearby, again some interesting rock pools/formations.

The last one does it for me, John. It has an appealing, cool luminescence about it.

Very good series John. I love the color in the first but those puddles of water in the second are fantastic. They really lead the eye right into the shot. Very effective indeed and a great job you've done.

The first two shots John have such natural scenery to them. The first has a good perspective eye as the foreground leads me to the sea. Good texture on the rocks as well.
The second shot being similar has the added rock-pools to it and this brings back memories when I was a child where I would play in the pools.
The third shot is excellent and looks good for framing, nice ones John, well done.

Thank you all for the lovely comments and great feedback about what it is that interests you in the photos. :)

Rob, thanks for mention of the Maidens that I'll add to the list. The west coast is an area that I've not been too for many years, and certainly not to look at with a photographer's eye.

Tony, it is also interesting to read that the second shot stirs memories for you as this is a great bonus for me due to the fact that my photo has generated an emotional response too. :)

Trevor, the weather was a drier bit of a very wet day. ;)

Rough sea's on a rough looking day altogether John but the important thing is to capture this in your shots which you've done well.

Sea spray is a bit of a bugger to deal with on location, some of Les's lens wipes would have come in handy eh
