:D I'm very new to this and have high hopes this model will solve my OOF, underexposed and grainey pictures of HS field sports at night. Unfortunately for me, the seasons just ended:cry:. Maybe that's a good thing...gives me time to learn ;)

oh yea, DHL delivery doesn't need to ring bell cause I heard the box hit the concrete floor, this was "before" I noticed the 2" puncture on the bottom! Geez!

It's a great camera, and thsoe things are usually packaged well enough to handle somebouncing. as long as it works, keep it and shoot like crazy in manual mode.

You will love the camera.

You actually got the camera at a good time of year for shooting night time HS outdoor sports. The season does not start for a year - and you will probably need every bit of that time to save your money for the lens required to do the job. ;)

For high school sports, it will cost a little bit.

For basketball the 50mm 1.4 or 85 1.8 will be good choices for the HS gym. 85 again for volleyball

For outdoors(like football) at the very least you will want the 70-200 2.8 by Sigma.

Yea, Thanks! Actually will be taking shots of my daughter and her cheerleading squad, maybe some of the boys playing as well. She doesn't do volley, she plays soccer. My son plays football and I do realize I won't be satisfied with anything less than an f/2.8 preferably L , probably 200mm, zoom would be preferred though I like the thought of a fast/crisp prime:-P. Luckily that's a ways off and I need to think about a Canon grip, some faster CF's and that godly expensive flash:rolleyes:
