I like your first shot best Mark for the water and the lead-in of the stones into the photo, and because the second one looks slightly soft for my tastes.

Id have to agree, the second one is soft to the point of looing out of focus. The first is far better though some of the highlights do look a little blown out. Nothing major and the rest of the shot more than compensates.

I agree with Adrian here Mark about the highlights.
The 1st picture does look nice though,and tidy up the area you shoot the next time ( obstructing grass and so on...we all do it ).;):lol:

Like the comp of the 1st shot mate, you really should carry scissors with you to tidy up the foreground grasses, either that or a little innocent stamping would've done :lol: ;)
