Yes, my sons 8 year old soccer team are the Division champs! Didn't lose a game. I'm so going to miss shooting soccer. I'm going to have to find some other sport to shoot over the winter.

Here are the last of my soccer pics until April 2007. Thanks to everyone on the site for getting me this far. It's been great fun. I have learned so much about sport photography. I started just a soccer mom with a camera and now I feel like I really almost know what I'm doing. I've got a long way to go and much more to learn but I'm excited.

I know the pics are a little grainy...I haven't learned how to work Noiseware enough to use it. If I use the default setting, it makes my pictures to soft.

Thanks,
Karman

Great shots...once they get a taste of the playoffs and therefore a longer season...more games...more fun...they won't ever let up...(don't forget to consider bringing up the issue of a mouth piece for all the players...however, a mouth piece will probably make them more fearless...other coaches might object...)

Although these pics are excellent in composition and framing, they all seem in need of slight contrast adjustment...Unlike any of your previous ones, these all seem slightly overexposed...

congrats on a winning season.

Great composition, I do agree with johnstoy re the slight overexposure though.
My two sons are about the same age and both play soccer. I find it the most challenging sport to photograph.

Thanks for the comments John. I didn't do any pp to these....I just sized them and loaded them so I'm glad that my pp is adding something to the pictures and not taking away. I will do a little pp on them before I print them for sure.

BTW, I did mention to the coach about the mouthpieces and he said that it was a good idea. None of the kids have them but I will bring it up again for next season.

I'm going to work these photos and post them again to see if they look any better. I'm just glad that I'm capturing more of the action...that is a struggle for me.

Thanks again.
Karman

excellent work. looking at your EXIF info you had the ISO set to 800 which could have been easily lowered to 400 or 320 without losing the ability to freeze the action. along with that you could have reduced the F-stop to make the chainlink fence less noticeable in the background. again, this is a minor suggestion - your ability to capture the shot at the right time is definately there. keep it up.

Thanks jevidon. I'm not sure why I had the ISO set so high...I must have been playing around previously and forgot to reset it. I'm still learning so all suggestions are taken to heart.

Thanks,
Karman
